Lactation Intensive for Doulas, NCSs, and Nanny Professionals

Terms and Conditions

Please read all Terms and Conditions below carefully

• Attendees must be at least 18 years old.

• Absolutely no babies nor small children are allowed in class due to liability concerns. Please make childcare arrangements prior to registering for this course. 

• Class will be approximately 3.5 hours. Class goes from 9:00am-12:30pm PACIFIC time.

• Students should arrive AT LEAST 15 minutes prior to the start of class to sign in. Class will begin promptly at 9am PACIFIC.

• Students who do not attend the class in its entirety will NOT be issued a Certificate of Attendance.

• Students will need to have a doll and bottle for this class. If you don’t have these items, please arrange to borrow them prior to class.

• FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES ONLY: If student feels ill, has been in recent contact with someone who tested positive for COVID, the flu, or other communicable disease they should transfer to a future date.  

• FOR ZOOM CLASSES: Student must use a laptop, desktop, or ipad/tablet to attend this class. Attending on a cell phone is not recommended; the student’s camera must remain on the entire class to show that you are present for the entire class.

• There will be a wide variety of students in this course all with differing backgrounds and education in lactation. Some of the content in this course may be repetitive for those who have taken a recent lactation course or are currently practicing lactation in their job. The instructor asks that all students show patience and support to all students. The course will include the most recent developments and information in lactation. 

• By attending this course, you agree to allow the instructor to take photographs of you and those photographs may be used in future promotional materials/ads.

• Attendees will NOT be granted a certification for this course. Students who attend in its entirety will receive a Certificate of Attendance.

• The instructor will EMAIL all paid students with a confirmation including all of the details of the class (exact hours, address, what you will need to bring, etc).  It is each student's responsibility to check emails in the weeks and days leading up to the class to ensure that you don't miss any vital information. 

• Materials, Powerpoint slides, and information given in this class belong to Darla Burns/Doula University® and may not be shared or distributed to others. 

• We are not affiliated with any university, college or higher educational body. We do not give college credit.

• This class has been approved for 3.5 Nursing CEUs in conjuction with United Nurses Seminars. There is an additional $15 fee to purchase CEUs for attending this course. This additional fee may be paid at the end of class.
